Mineral Business
We have expertise with minerals namely Zircon, sillimanite, Rutile, Super Garnet and more.
Zircon

Zircon, normally a transparent beige colored glassy mineral, finds its place in many an industrial application worldwide. Starting from ceramic tiles and refractoriness to a range of high-tech applications, Zircon compounds have a very low toxicity and are not perceived as a potential environmental hazard. They are even said to have some medicinal properties and are now increasingly preferred in the manufacture of food products and pharmaceuticals as well.
Yukra zircon sand, otherwise OpaZr, is the unique product known for its higher whiteness and commendable durability.
Zircon plays a vital role in the production of ceramics. It fosters rigidity, whiteness and shape to the ceramic products with variety. Withstanding of heat by any ceramic product is determined by the quantity and quality of zircon in it.
Sillimanite
A common variety of sillimanite is known as fibrolite, so named because the mineral appears like a bunch of fibres twisted together when viewed in thin section or even by the naked eye. Both the fibrous and traditional forms of sillimanite are common in metamorphosed sedimentary rocks. It is an index mineral indicating high temperature but variable pressure. Yukra Sillimanite is an outstanding product from our concern. Sillimanite is obtained from high temperature, aluminum-rich vicinity. The Advantages – Quality of Yukra Sillimanite :
- High alumina content
- Low impurity or contaminants
- High Melting point
- Even sizing
- Uniform packing

Rutile

Rutile is another major Titanium ore used in manufacturing of Titanium dioxide pigments, Titanium metal, a high-tech alloy owing to its light weight, high strength and resistance to corrosion. Though rutile is a reddish mineral, it appears to be black to the naked eyes. More than 90% of Rutile is used as feedstock for the production of white pigment. The remnant is used for the production of Titanium sponge and Titanium metal. Indian rutile sand is mostly consumed in the welding electrode sector. Rutile ore is largely available in countries like Australia, India, South Africa, Ukraine and Sierra Leone. Minor suppliers are Srilanka, Malaysia, Madagascar, Brazil and Mozambique.
Super Garnet
Super Garnet – is a non – metallic naturally obtainable mineral Abrasively mined from the beaches of the Gulf of Mannar. The grains have a unique curved cubical form as a result of hundreds of years under wave action. During mining and processing there is no grinding or breaking of particles. Hence, Super Garnet is a genuine virgin almandine garnet belonging to the gem family. With its crystalline shape giving a fast cutting action and longer life span, Super Garnet is highly efficient and effective as an abrasive. YUKRA has an emotional attachment to the Super Garnet. It reigns foremost among all the abrasives in the world. With the purity of 99%, Super Garnet is the most accepted brand in Sand Blasting, Water Jet Cutting, Water Filtration, Surface preparation etc., To put it precisely, its high purity and low salinity provides the Super Garnet its grandeur.
